JARVISH—the leader in smart helmets—expands to the U.S. and names Aaron Sean Poynton as president

May 24, 2019

WASHINGTON, DC – JARVISH Inc., a Taiwan-based global leader in smart 5G+AI+AR motorcycle helmets, announced today that it plans to expand into the United States and has named Aaron Sean Poynton as its President for the Americas. Aaron is currently the CEO and founder of Omnipoynt, a 4IR-technology consulting firm. JARVISH has engaged Omnipoynt for its expansion and has tapped Aaron to serve as JARVISH’s Americas president and member of the executive leadership team.

Dr. Poynton is a former U.S. Army officer and an industry veteran in bringing advanced technologies to market, working in sales and leadership roles at Smiths Detection, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Federal Resources. He holds several advanced degrees including an MBA from Duke and is an AMP graduate of Harvard Business School.

JARVISH was founded in 2014 and launched its first smart helmet, the MONACO EVO S, in 2017, selling more than 1,000 helmets in the first year. In 2018, JARVISH launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $420,000 for the development of its next-generation helmets—the JARVISH X and JARVISH X-AR, which will incorporate many advanced features, such as heads-up display, 360-degree 2K front & rear cameras with cloud recording, handsfree control, and Alexa built in. The campaign exceeded its goal in 45 days. JARVISH relaunched with a stretch goal, and it was exceeded in 54 minutes. Now, the next generation helmets can be pre-ordered on Indiegogo with shipments in the U.S. starting in Q3 2019.

“We’re excited to have Aaron onboard with JARVISH,” said Jeremy Lu, JARVISH’s founder and CEO. “His strong leadership abilities, entrepreneurial spirit, and track record of bringing new advanced technologies to market will help to bring our products to the U.S., which is our most important market for growth.”

“The U.S. has over nine million motorcycle riders, who not only love their bikes, but they also love their technology,” said Aaron. “The U.S. has a strong riding culture; it’s a symbol of our freedom. It’s always been cool and fun, but now we can improve the experience and make it safer too.”

JARVISH also plans on expanding its product portfolio in the U.S. with smart field engineering, law enforcement and military helmets in 2019. In the next year, JARVISH plans on opening offices near San Francisco, CA and Washington, DC to support its U.S. customers, and will begin to expand into Central and South America.
